About The Course
Impactful teaching is a craft that goes far beyond asana. We know this. That Yoga is so much more than the physical, but when do we give ourselves the opportunity to really feel into that? And when do we get the opportunity to really share that? Especially with the time constraints of a fast paced flow class! How can we weave the other facets of Yoga more seamlessly into our teachings while staying true to own own unique teaching style?
Throughout this course we will seek to ignite your individual natural rhythm starting with the strong foundation of a personal sadhana practice. From there we will explore how to intelligently theme and sequence, by building confidence to share Yogic philosophy to bring a more sacred purpose and energy into your teaching. We will also spend time on how to nourishingly assist your students with hands on adjustments.

About the teacher
Laura started her practice of yoga during university in order to deepen her flexibility and compliment her regular dance training. Finding that a regular practice also brought about a sense of peace and balance in her life Laura continued to seek out inspiration from teachers when she lived in Thailand, Honduras and Canada. Over 20 years on she is still constantly amazed at how each asana class brings about a new discovery within us.
Seeking a deeper awareness of Yoga she travelled to India at the start of 2008, to complete her first training at the Sivananda Ashram, in Kerala. Since then she has travelled and lived all over India, teaching yoga at the ashram as well as 5 seasons in Goa. Having spent such a devoted amount of time in Yoga’s birthplace, Laura has gained insight into the yogic way of life.
Her belief that we as teachers must continually evolve and learn, once again led her to Mysore, India where in June 2011 she completed her Ashtanga Yoga training.
She has also studied Pranayama and Mudra with BNS Iyengar in Mysore, and practices with Stewart Gilchrist when in London, as well as on his retreats.
After moving to Dubai in September 2011 she taught at one of the first Yoga studios in the region, Zen Yoga, for 10 years. Teaching a variety of styles and levels, as well as workshops and private classes, and hosting senior international teachers. Then in 2022 she moved to the newly founded Matcha Club as one of their senior teachers.
During her 12 years in Dubai Laura was regularly featured in the local publications; Yoga Life magazine, and Grazia Middle East, she was a brand ambassador for Body Language Sportswear, Nux and later Lululemon Middle East, and she taught yearly at the ever growing event Yogafest (the first of it’s kind in the GCC).
She has run corporate Yoga events for X Dubai, Facebook, Huda Beauty, MAF, Volvo, Adidas, and Al Mouj to name a few.
She has also, since 2012, hosted regular retreats worldwide in Nepal, Ibiza, and Goa, and is a regular teacher at the famed Six Senses Zighy Bay resort in Oman.
To expand her knowledge Laura completed her FRC mobility training in March 2020 and then Kinstretch in February 2021.
Laura creates a traditional and disciplined atmosphere in her classes where her goal is to make students feel the full benefits of their practice. Her 16 years of teaching experience are reflected in her adjustments, clear instruction and her ability to weave yogic philosophy into her yoga asana classes.
